In registering your children for Religious Education you are making a commitment to them and to St. Clement Church. This commitment bears responsibility by both parent and child. No other activities should be scheduled which would interfere with these class sessions. Late arrivals, early dismissals and high absenteeism are unacceptable. It sends the wrong message to our children about the importance of Religious Ed and their relationship with Jesus. Therefore: Students in grades 1 -7 will be permitted 3 unexcused absences; students in grade 8 will be permitted 1 unexcused absence.

Absences with a doctor’s note, or for immediate family emergency, will be considered excused absences.

Arriving more than 15 minutes late and  early dismissals of 15 minutes or more will be counted as unexcused absences.

It is the student’s responsibility to make-up any/all work missed each week.

4 or more unexcused absences will require the student to repeat the grade the following September.
