Diocesan Youth Conference will be February 4, 2023
All 8th Grade Students are encouraged to attend
Confirmation will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 8th 2023 at 4:00 pm
Confirmation Retreat will be on Friday November 18th beginning at 6:00 pm in the Gym.
Confirmation Dress Code Requirements: All students and sponsors must be neatly dressed.
Girls: Dress, skirt and blouse or dress slacks, dress shoes. Dresses and skirts must be of the appropriate length for Church. Beware that spiky heels can catch in the carpeting causing tripping.
Boys: Dress pants or khakis with dress shirt and tie, dress shoes. No jeans, T-shirts or sneakers.
All students will wear robes – the girls will wear white and the boys will wear red. The robes will be distributed on designated days/times, to be emailed to families, as Confirmation day approaches. Please check length, zippers, etc. and notify the Religious Ed. office if there are any issues with gowns.

Confirmation Questions – (download below) must be studied so that each student is well-versed by Confirmation day. They may be questioned on Confirmation day.
***Corporal Works of Mercy Service Project: Each child will be required to perform 10 hours of Christian Service. Each student shall also write a short reflection (about a paragraph) on how this service experience has affected him/her.
***Letter to Fr. Tom – Why they want to receive Sacrament, how they prepared and will continue to prepare for it and how they will continue to live a life of service.
***Interview of Sponsor – This project is interactive – it’s an interview – not a form to give to the sponsor for him/her to fill out! Required form to be downloaded from the Confirmation tab on the webpage –
***Saint Report – Name of saint chosen for Confirmation name. Required form to be downloaded from the Confirmation tab on the webpage.
***Gifts of the Spirit Project – art project (drawing, collage, painting, etc) demonstrating each: Wisdom, Understanding, Right Judgment, Courage, Knowledge, Reverence, Wonder & Awe
***Regular Attendance at Mass on Sundays and Holy Days of Obligation.
***Mission in November 2022
***Students will be required to attend two Sacramental Preparation sessions during February / March 2023. The dates will be posted on the website and e-mailed.

*** Practice the week before Confirmation – The sponsors must attend the practice. If a sponsor cannot be there, a parent must attend in his/her place.
